“Thank you for being there and for helping me.”

Yesterday, January 8, I was about three miles from home when my car’s low tire pressure indicator appeared. It was nearly 6:00 p.m. and I could think of no place along the way to stop to get the tires checked.

As I drove along I remembered that your store is on Grant. Hoping you would still be open, I pulled in. As I approached the door I saw that closing time is 6:00 p.m., but the door was not locked and I walked in at probably 6:02. When the man completed the transaction with the couple at the counter, I stepped up and started to explain why I was there. He immediately requested my key, went to the repair area, and then to my car. He pulled it in and another man immediately started adding air to the tires.

I came in after closing, but was not turned away, and the person airing the tires acted like it was no problem whatsoever to perform the service. And when I asked how much I owed, I was told nothing.

You have no idea how much I appreciated the help. It was dark, windy and extremely cold, and I was so relieved to have the problem not only taken care of, but so courteously. Unfortunately, it never occurred to me to get the names of the two gentlemen who helped me in such a huge way so they can be recognized.

Thank you for being there and for helping me.
